Your personal Game Of The Year?

Hey there, guys. I was just wondering what your personal GOTY was.

For me, it was Batman: Arkham Asylum. I'm not a huge Batman fan, but this game was just incredible. I got it for Christmas, and had 1000g on it by December 31st. That's how much i enjoyed it. The pacing was perfect between each section. The gameplay is made up of 3 fundamental parts: Exploration/detective work, 'Freeflow' combat, and stealth gameplay. I would go more indepth into it, but i wouldn't want to spoil the game for those who haven't yet played it.

I would be interested to hear what games you loved the most in 2009. Thanks =]

My personal favorite game of the year was definitely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I thought the game just in general was incredible

I agree that MW2 was/is a fantastic game, but it wasn't very unique or innovative. It was effectively a rehashed CoD 4 with more features and better graphics. While i think it's a fantastic game, it wasn't GOTY for me. I can see why you chose it, though

I think Modern Warfare 2, was a Beast of a game, it had everything, apart from a long story line, but, the story was just AMAZING. But it just wasnt too much different from COD4:MW, so my Personal GOTY has got to be, Assassins Creed 2.

Assassins Creed 2 is just such a huge step up from AC1, the story line, the graphics, the overall gameplay, it is just Stunning.

I LOVED Assassin's Creed 2, aswell, and it was certainly a close contender for my GOTY. It was such a huge step up from the original (which i also loved).

i agree with the others MF2 its just that im a big fan of the CoD series and that game seemed easy for me to control

Hard choice, but I'm a sucker for story-based games, so I'm gonna have to say Assassins Creed 2, despite a few shortcomings. But Modern Warfare 2 is definitely an amazing game, probably my number 2 GOTY.
